BuildSweep Terms
Important boundaries for using BuildSweep to inspect and review Xcode-generated storage.
Last updated: 9 August 2026
1. Current availability
BuildSweep 1.0 is available for Mac through Apple's Mac App Store. Apple handles download and distribution; this website does not take payment for BuildSweep.
Your use of the Mac App Store is also subject to Apple's applicable terms. These BuildSweep terms describe the product boundary and may be updated as the app develops.
2. Product purpose
BuildSweep is a macOS developer utility for diagnosing supported Xcode-generated storage and reviewing narrowly verified items before moving them to Finder's Trash.
It is not a general-purpose Mac cleaner, backup product, source-code scanner, permanent deletion tool, or guarantee that all Xcode storage can be removed or recovered.
3. Your responsibility
You remain responsible for reviewing every path, classification, consequence, and confirmation before authorizing a move to Trash.
Keep appropriate backups and preserve Archives, signed builds, test evidence, package state, simulator data, and other material you may need. Quit Xcode and Simulator when the app requires it before an action.
4. Diagnostic and recovery limits
A classification is evidence for review, not a guarantee that an item has no value to you. Unsupported, incomplete, changed, or ambiguous items are intended to fail closed.
Moving an item to Finder's Trash does not immediately reclaim disk space. Space is normally reclaimed only after you empty Trash in Finder. BuildSweep does not empty Trash and does not promise one-click restoration.
5. Liability and law
BuildSweep is provided subject to the terms presented with the released app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
